Ed Gillum (1996-2004)

Italian and Portuguese, Bristol University

Joining what was then known as Colet Court at the age of 10 provided me with countless experiences I will forever be grateful for: touring South Africa on a rugby tour (even if I tore my knee cartilage in the first game over there!), playing guitar with Mr Adie, and of course the academic teaching were all truly life-changing. My love of languages was nurtured by the first-class department at St Paul’s, leading me to study Italian and Portuguese at Bristol University where I met my Florentine wife which has seen me now living out in Tuscany, continuing my passion for music by DJing! Thank you St Paul’s.
