The Leavers’ Bursary Appeal was instigated in 2014 by a group of Upper Eighth parents who wanted to celebrate their sons’ time at St Paul’s.
Their aim was to gift the opportunity of a Pauline education to a boy that had both the academic ability and attitude to benefit from this special type of educational opportunity but did not possess the financial circumstances.
They were successful and this charitable tradition has continued at St Paul’s. Over the last four years, donors to the Leavers’ Bursary Appeals have supported three senior school bursary places by raising an impressive £482,930, with the 2018 leaving parents donating a record £153,227. The idea is that as the boys meet in future years for their reunions they will together top up their fund.
