A Boathouse fit for the 21st Century

To maintain and support the calibre of our Rowing programme, we are relaunching the appeal for an improved boathouse.

The current facility is over 50 years old and no longer fit for purpose. At the request of Bobby Thatcher and the coaching team, we are pleased that we have been able to put together refurbishment plans, which will develop alongside the training programme with minimal disruption.

The proposed refurbishment will enhance the quality of the boathouse’s existing facilities – with improvements to the gym area, ventilation, changing rooms and staff office. In addition, there will be a purpose-built extension housing a coaching room, student debriefing room and a combined kitchenette and laundry area.

The project is estimated to cost £2.7 million.

There are two ways to support the future of rowing at St Paul’s: by sponsoring a flagstone for £750 or making a donation towards the refurbishment. All gifts of over £25,000 will be acknowledged on a specially engraved donor board.

Thank you for your support and commitment to our rowing programme.
